We are an extended network of grassroots people at Peguis First Nation. We have been retracing the footsteps of our ancestors for 40 years, to reclaim our spiritual identity and way of life as Anishinaabe people. We seek to live in ways that honour the heritage of our ancestors. While we cannot live on the land the way we once did, it is important that our children know their heritage, and learn about their identity and natural gifts. These will assist them as they walk through life.

Our Elders, Directors and Spiritual Advisors have earned the gifts of conducting traditional ceremonies, using traditional medicines, and providing traditional teachings.

The Loud Eagle Singers are a group of young men from within our extended family and community. They bring the drum, the heartbeat of our mother, and the songs with which they are gifted, to our ceremonies and events. They have been singing with the big drum for over fifteen years.
We provide camps for children, youth and families in our community including those supported by Peguis Child and Family Services. Children and families come to stay in the cabins to participate in ceremony, experience the teachings and take part in a variety of traditional crafts and land-based activities.
