The Sun Lodge Village is a place to bring back our traditional diets, practices and medicines, in accordance with the seasonal cycle. It is a place to practice and teach our traditional ways of living and connecting to the land.

Horses are part of our traditional heritage. They have long provided spiritual guidance and healing for our people and connected us to the land in practical ways.

As part of the Traditional Land-based program, the SunLodge Village offers opportunities for participants to connect with the horses so they can begin to uncover and strengthen their Anishinaabe spirit. The relationship with the horse is used as a guide to self-discovery and personal growth.

We are committed to sharing our traditional knowledge with all who are interested.
